Sooo much better than the last time I had it. This was a very youthful, charming, sweetly fruited wine.

2008, way too much alcohol (15.5) so the balance was out of whack. cigar box approach was nice but otherwise too much octane for me

Remarkably fresh and vibrant with notes of cherry, potpourri & glycerin. Honored to be drinking with John Shafer (debut vintage) on his 92nd birthday

Held up nicely for such an awkward vintage. Fuller side of medium, dark and dark red fruits, nice grip and showing off a bit of spice on the finish.
