Tanca Farrà Alghero Cannonau Cabernet Sauvignon

Northern Italian feel to it but still clearly rooted to Sardegna. Good stuff.

Tastes more aged than it is.

First time with wine from Sardinia (i think). A bit dark. Enjoyed the other wines we had on the table a bit more.

Drinking good, warm Mediterranean coastal spices, eucalyptus, licorice, violet, orange spice. Still a few tannins to work on, good for another 3/4 years.

Farmyard and savory. Old world. No fruit in this wine. Decant and serve with game. This is off the beaten track.

Very earthy yet tasty. Great wine with steak or heavier seafood.

Still drinking well though at the end of its life. Very terroir driven. Tannins have dissipated totally. Quite surprised the structure held up this long.

Cannonau, Cabernet...pretty glad I picked this up.

Smells like stale piss in the Paris subway, otherwise unremarkable
