Schrader Cellars
Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Very punchy blackcurrant. This is BIG. I think a bit of a waste of a great vineyard.

Nov 20th, 2019Just huge. A super impressive wine but not quite my style.

Nov 3rd, 2014Burnt, carmelized sugar, sandalwood, blackberries, plum and Mission fig. This is a dense, concentrated Cab with enormous power. Big, brawny...massive structure and acidity to match. In fact, it's very evenly structured, with flavors of charcoal, anise and spice. Extremely lengthy, persistent finish. Still exhibits youthful exuberance, this has enough structure to age gracefully for another decade. A powerhouse wine that paired beautifully with grilled ribeye steak.

Jul 13th, 2014If you go cheap on the whites you have to man up on the Reds,
TRB makes these to last, still needs hours of decant.
B Cellars also 9.7 but new world BTK, just about ready to go at P&P
Cork looks just as good as the 14 B cellars.

Mar 11th, 2016Tried this Schrader, which may have been only the second or third one I've had in my lifetime. Well, needless to say I was blown away. So well balanced! Nice red berries, spice, pepper and firm tannins. I need to get me some more of his wines!
