Difficult vintage, showing greater ripeness than 1995 with marginally lower acidity. Blood orange, savory herb, nutty. Just a nice beverage.

Ett ändå lite gammalt vin som mådde/mår bra av att andas ett bra tag. Öppnade det kl. 17-18 och först nu börjar det öppna upp. Ah lite pepprigt, lite salmiak, vanilj, lingon. Lite väl så grönt i flabben. Kanske skulle stått något år?

Surprised that Barbera can age this well. Still has some bite to it, but has softened to a host of flavors (cherry, vanilla, cinnamon, violets, and plum) all in gray harmony with a long savory finish. Really fun trying older wines made with grapes you traditionally don't find with 20 year of age.
