After couple of hours decanted, this gorgeous bottle of #Saxum Bone Rock's aroma wafted around the counter: Blackberry, cassis, smoke, dark berries, licorice and a sweetness that only powerful #Syrahs offer. So complex. Love what comes out of the James Berry Vineyard. #SaxumVineyards

Crazy awesome. Tons of black pepper, smoke, tobacco and bacon fat. Luscious dark fruits. Very fruit forward palate. Waaaaaay too young.

Managed to get the dregs of this bottle. Savory bacon, dark fruits and saddle leather. Meaty, rich, black fruits with mocha and graphite flavors. Firm tannins and lingering finish makes this one of my favorites of the evening.

Very good, as expected. Lush, perceived sweet from 16.1 Alc but didn't come off that high. Perfection for pasophiles, excellent for all others.

A little too heavy for a rube like me. Good overall structure and a long finish.
