The Viognier is still quite evident on the nose and palate. This wine might be a perfect intro to the Rocks for those that aren’t familiar because it is funky, but not super funky. The tannins are smooth and reposed, the red fruit notes are subdued at this point and spicy notes, bacon fat and subtle dried fig And tobacco notes are brilliantly balanced. This is a wine you have to take time to appreciate. Yum!!!
