Vin Santo Malvasia Trebbiano

My first vin santo. Difficult to judge since I don’t know what I am looking for. Nice dessert wine, pairs well with Creme brûlée. :-) syrupy sweetness.

Interesting but not a great wine with sweets, might be better with, say, apple pie.

Cooked. Flawed. Over oxidized. Undrinkable.

Lovely, with nice acidity and brightness. Pair it with a biscotti.

Probably too sweet for a dessert wine. Honey, orange and almost sherry flavour to it. Yet manages to combine being almost thin and syrupy at the same time. Need to ensure you aren’t having to sweet a dessert or afters to drink it with food. More of a sherry type drink than dessert wine. Perhaps cheese? Still, good flavour and enjoyable nonetheless.

A little thin, more alcoholic, but the honey flavor is definitely still there. (2010)

Had it with tiramisu (homemade). Not a good dessert wine.
