Deep Ruby with aromas of red and black fruits, tar and earthy herbal spice. On the palate flavors of cherry & blackberry with citrus, tobacco and tar. Full-bodied, lively spice, fine tannins, medium finish ending with fruit and spicy character. Good value! Drink now no aging benefit.

A bit lighter and brighter than the previous vintage, making it more a dinner wine than a by-the-glass sipper. Still quite tasty with honey chipotle salmon and Tuscan broccoli. Drink now through 2026.

2 people found it helpfulSep 29th, 2019Bright purplish ruby in the glass. Nose of dark black cherry. Palate echoes adding strong hibiscus/black tea. Medium acidity throughout with medium minus tannins cleaning up back palate through the medium finish. What can I say? This has to be the standard for full-bodied Willamette PN. An excellent foil for classic PN pairings (salmon with BBQ seasoning tonic ÜT), but built to handle more hearty red fare. Got a lighter cut of beef under Bordelaise? A fatty duck with cherry sauce? A meaty (dare I say it?) casserole? This is your Pinot. Drink now through 2028.

1 person found it helpfulSep 21st, 2019Light Ruby with aromas of berry fruits and a jolt of spice. The palate shows cherry & cola flavors with big acidity. Medium length, soft tannins, finish very thin ending with fruit and spice notes. Tasting Sample. My notes showed ‘16 was a bit better.
