Prior notes apply. Always a pleasure to drink a Sami-Odi red wine - great as the weather cools down in Autumn. Plum and chocolate with those trademark silky tannins from mainly old vine fruit. An assemblage of casks from 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 - all good years.

Only brief notes. A combination of 4 pretty good vintages - 2012 (11%); 2013 (3%); 2014 (39%) and 2015 (47%). Only 4955 bottles filled. A menthol and sandlewood note with a faint H2S note which blew off. Trademark silky tannins and great length - the product of those old vines in the Hoffmann Dallwitz vineyard.

I love this wine mainly due to its lack of RS. Just a DRY and positive wine. Sourced with great care and treated elegantly in the cellar. Long lasting flavours. Stemmy my but all positive tannins.

Quintessentially old vine Barossa with notes of Plum and Chocolate. Medium bodied. A well made yummy wine with soft and supple tannins. Another excellent wine from Fraser.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Sami-Odi Little Wine #5 and I can now confirm it's bloody delicious. Vibrant powerful fruit balanced with wonderful acidity and a lingering finish. Possibly the perfect steak wine but I'm experimenting by matching it with pork and prawn siu mai and the wine is just getting better and better, mmm

Really nice. Lovely fruit and spice, but no heaviness on the palate. Fantastic job @Fraser McKinley !

My final bottle of Little Wine #5 Aromas of dark plum, prune, mushroom, chocolate with a slight whiff of H2S which blew off. A lush and fluid mouthfeel of blackberry showing that gorgeous old vine fruit finishing with dry tannins. Pretty much unchanged from the previous two tastings. A great match with Lamb, golden syrup and Pistachio gourmet sausages. A blend of the 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 vintages. All were good in the Barossa.

Beautiful dry tannins, salami and bright berries on the nose. Delish dark fruit and leather on the palate.
