Oxidative, which can happen quickly with Grenache Blanc whether or not it’s the intended style, but full of character and texture after three years in the bottle. Nose is rich with marzipan and cantaloupe and the palate is weighty (14.5% alc.) but nicely balanced with enough acid to freshen it up and keep me reaching for another glass. I would love to have tasted this wine when young for comparison - GB is such a fickle little grape.
