Highly recommended if you are interested in trying a Portuguese wine.
Big dark fruits, coffee, toast, charcoal, ...so many flavors changing over time. Tannins are still prominent so a decant is recommended.
Finish goes on and on....

Enormous. This has stuffing for excellent drinking in the now-to-5-years range but I'm not sure its built for the long haul. Give it good long decant and get it below room temp.

We had the 2017 Vintage on 1/26-27/23. This is one of the first Portuguese reds I have tried. Full bodied and fruit forward but still Old World. Bouquet and palate are quite similar with black berry, plum and Spice. The tannins were smoothed out. Nice foray into Portuguese red

Really solid Portuguese varietal, Francisca. Nose brings some impressions of Barolo and Cab, but is light on tannins and has a long deep fruit finish that pairs well with a lot of food. Really enjoyed it. Has lots of life ahead of it in the bottle yet but drinking nicely now.

Well made but I find it to be a boring wine. A bit Bordeaux like with dark fruits and lots of structure and polish. Just feels safe and flat overall.
