Very nice yellow golden color. A bit of petrol, oil slick and honeycomb on the nose. Pineapples and lemon, toast, floral, honey, bit of minerals. Oily texture that comes off as quite rich but not heavy.

Very surprising never expected this to a white chateauneuf. Very floral, with hints of oxidation, beautiful complexity.

Medium lemon, the 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Magis from Rotem & Mounir Saouma delivers a punchy bouquet of orange blossom, orange peel, lemon zest, white peach, ripe pear, wood smoke, vanilla and quite a lot of flint. At present, the wine is dominated by wood, but the racy acidity and intense fruit concentration lift the wine to a spot on balance. Drink from 2024 until 2035.
