It's been a while since I have tasted this 2004, having recently been drinking 2006. It's a good solid grower Champagne but just slightly rough around the edges when compared to their Special Club bottling.

Mar 5th, 20141969 Roland Champion Chouilly Grand Cru disgorged 5 days before tasting. Very golden with a big yeasty nose. On the palate, it tastes much like fino sherry (slightly oxidized) with a huge lemony acid component. Not my favorite, but fun to try.
