Reminds me of Caymus Special Selection with generous ripe black cherry, blackberry, cocoa, damp cedar, vanilla syrup, and a touch of green bell pepper.

Deep garnet ruby red. Nose layered with flowers, dusty, black raspberries, gravel, and graphite. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) and full bodied. Stoney on the palate with tight black fruits. Very dark. Drink till 2035. (92+)

Deep rich color. Red currant, chocolate, licorice mild tannins and long finish. Wow!

Rodney Strong might be on the way back up. This is their Alexander’s Crown 2013, cabernet sauvignon . I picked it up for 60 bucks. Retail is usually 80. I would not pay that for it, but for 60 its not bad. Honig for 40 is better. Thwre is oak and spice and everything nice. It is dry and mouth watering for more!!!
