Pinot from Carneros comes in thin, with diminished fruit and over-oaked compared with Willamette Valley Pinot. This one is no exception. “Napa” and “Pinot Noir” shouldn’t exist on the same label.

This is a nice bright Pinot, with a nose of red cherries and tea leaves. A light bodied Pinot with flavors of cherry, this has decent tannins. Very, very young. It's nice but nothing I would seek out.

Another good Pinot for the value ($35 or less). Wonderful nose of cracked black pepper and tea leaves. Relatively light, but smooth finish. Elegant wine, which is exactly what it's trying to be
