Crumbly cork, coffee filter, decant back to bottle aside, this Ridge needs credit for still being alive especially at 14.2% abv. 11 years old, but graphite blueberry cobbler with cedar chip notes, although very muted in all categories. Maybe a little grape lolipop, american oak, and violets to boot. Medium mouthfeel that continues the grape and dried black cherry notes fill the middle with the texture of Spanish miss. Lots of fruit tannins still, though very fine grained. Finishes oaky, with caper and dried black currant. Decent length.
