This exquisite Petite Syrah is anything but Petite! Fully extracted, massively tannic, stained dark purple reminiscent of squid ink; culminates with a surprisingly smooth and refined finish.

Nose tells of the American oak aging with caramelized fruits, dark cherry and ripe plum. Color is typical PS with super inky gorgeousness. Very young on the palate with full, ripe, dark fruits incorporated with American oak. Full mouthfeel, nicely balanced tannins, hints of acid and spice. Very easy drinking and great for food. Needs age

Cherry compote, linze torte, cut flowers and fresh linen on the nose. Perfectly balanced palette. Taught and a tad immature, but the quality of the components shine through. Ripe cherries, sweet spice box and a hint of brown sugar complete the tour de force - excellent.
13.9 abv blend of 97% petite syrah.

This slugger was big on extraction, but a bit one-dimensional.

On the nose, delicate raspberries and a hint of caramel. Wood is invisible.
On the palette, the wine does not have the typical Zin signature at all. It's very restrained with hints of raspberries and kirsch. Tannins are completely integrated. So happy that I was not overwhelmed with jam and fruit.

Flowers and blackberries galore. An elegant petite sirah. Really enjoyable.

The wood is too present and the tannins a bit obvious at this point but decent acidity gives me hope this will round into form. Does American oak want PS?

Petite sirah grip, nice pairing with my custom beef blend burgers from Flannerys.

Beautiful fruit and spice on the nose. The wine still young and tight, just like I was once. Cheers!
