Needs time in the bottle, but this is always a solid Anderson PN

PNP. Intoxicating purple berry perfume. Pretty fruit and secondary notes. Woody, herbal and in the zone. Not improving with time open so I’d say drink up.

A tasting of nine Rhys Pinot Noirs from the 2008 & 2009 vintages. Jeff Brinkman, Rhys winemaker joined our group. I thought the Bearwallow Vineyard from the Anderson Valley was rich and savory - it was our #1 in the lineup.

Have generally preferred the Horseshoe vineyard in past years but the ‘17 Bearwallow is amazing!

This is the “regular” Bearswallow not the porcupine hill. Love Rhys but this was a bit closed and uninteresting
