A pity Rhys is no longer doing this wine - one of my favorites. Smooth, 14.25 ABV. Chocolate and chalk and bright berries. Makes me smile. 9.2.

Smooth, berry, strawberry, dried chery, lead pencil, slight rock, minimum tannin. 14.25 ABV. Yeah, I've always pretty much loved these Alesa's. 2006.

Much riper than I expected but good for what it is--meaty, char-y, generous but balanced.

so Rhône-like with smoked meat and herbs, licorice. A big but balanced wine. Delicious. Throwing a lot of sediment. Very good.
