Begins with a very endearing nose that is full of earthy notes of mushroom, dried leaves, and smoke with a background of cherry & cranberry. However, on the palate, the fruit takes center stage with copious amounts of cherry, with hints of cola, vanilla and allspice which carry into an enjoyably long finish. Pale to medium reddish purple. Aromas of black cherry, licorice, sassafras, vanilla, and hints of oak spice. Sweet and somewhat sappy dark fruit on the palate finishing with a bit of heat. Medium bodied with medium+ acid, fine tannins, and 13.5% alcohol. $28.

I expected more, bland fruit, little spice.... i expected more full bodied and was disappointed!!
