Who knew Grenache would grow this far north? 100% Grenache from the “Musikantenbuckel” site in Freinsheim near Bad Dürkheim, in the north of the Pfalz wine region. Aged for 18 months in oak. Elegant nose with notes of dark fruit, spices and oak. Medium-bodied, lighter, more ethereal than Mediterranean grenache. Quite a surprise.
