Aperitif into veggie fritters of garden carrot, zucchini, ricotta and Berbere spice mix.
Pale yellow. Enough oak to smell it, but not intrusive. So nose = creamy caramel, pear, vanilla. Fresh aromas of Cortland apple, vaguely floral, good acidity in the mouth.
Half bottle format seems perfect size for cooking and into a meal.

Medium yellow hue with aromas of pear, pineapple, honeysuckle, and lees. Medium bodied although a bit oily and flabby in the mouth. Sourced primary from the Y block of the Bien Nacido Vineyard, the Chardonnay is blended with 5% of the Rhône varieties Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne. The fruit is whole cluster pressed, barrel fermented, then aged 9 months on the lees in 15% new French oak. Drank from a 375 mL bottled under screwcap. 13.4% ABV. $20.

Subtle oak. Smooth and slightly crisp. Worked well with a butternut soup, a light salad and chicken.

Touch of Melon. No classic California Chardonnay over oakiness. Crisp. Solid summer wine.

Unctuous, creamy and dryly honeyed. Nice rich mouthfeel, if a little heavy handed.

Not sure. Loved a bottle once, didn’t catch vintage. Lately not into it. Too stringent.
