2013 vintage. Round, full of fruit, dense. Portugal keeps on surprising me at all levels.

McCarthy & Schiering, $18

Cloudy in the glass and nose of slight smokey oak and juicy berries. Super soft tannins on the palate, nice acidity, bright juicy mouth watering berries, oak is super well integrated and barely noticable. A little bit of anise sweetness and spice. Of all the Portuguese wines I've had this one reminds me the most of port. Absolutely loved it!

Every time I have it, I’m reminded what an underrated wine this is. Excellent finish. Smooth

Has everything you need in a red wine for just about 10€! (10/10 in value for money); dark black fruit, nice integrated oak, minerality, fine tannins, good acidity, full bodied, long afterhall, very well balanced

Full body mineral taste. Amazing, we loved it!

Cassis, rhubarb (?), tea and tar. Thick and rich.

Nice but I'll give it a bit more time for the other bottles
