A medium claret, with just a touch of bricking, the '93 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon had everything one could expect from a mature Washington Cab. Big cassis, cigar box, brambly underbrush and oaky vanilla aromas wafted from the glass. The palate was smooth, balanced and refined. Eventually, the fruit faded to be replaced by cedar notes on the lengthy aftertaste.
