Palate is a beast. Super concentrated and so sappy with unreal dark red cherry fruit. Finish echoes like a clap of thunder. Licorice and tree dust now. Such earthiness. Not that elegant but it makes up for it in sheer force of nature.

Big, deep menthol, forest floor, tarry nose. The impression of heat. The palate is broad, minty on the tip of the tongue.
Both dark, brooding and bright. Some cocoa there too. Delicious!

Nose is brooding. Black cherry. Almost some graphite.
Ok scratch that. After 30 minutes you get the quazzolo ness. Intense spice on the nose. Brighter cherries. Some florals. Clove. Cinnamon. Allspice. Potpourri perfume. So layered. Very elegant for a wine with fruit like this. Very singular.

As it opens dense delicious fresh cherry fruit. Spice. Internal aromatics are that spice potpourri.

Really a very nice barbaresco especially for the price. Lots of dark red (but not black) fruit and a good hit of spice. Not inaccessible even though it’s fairly young. Really enjoyed.

Jun 10th, 2022Brooding, big black Cherry and licorice Barbaresco. Sings with protein. A big mouthful. It commands your senses. Dark fruited tarry perfume. Delish. Chewy.
On day 2, tannins very resolved. Tarry blackness.

Smells zippy and berry-licious. Cherry syrup and apple flowers. Flavors are tart and very balanced. Acids, tannins and berry dance on the tongue. Complexity is here in spades. Dry but so much rosehip and perfectly ripe strawberries.

Fra Piemonte. Dyp rød mot mahogni. Røde bær i duften med inslag av tjære og hint av nype, anis og krydder. God fylde med rik og sødmefull frukt, som balanseres av frisk syre. Meget lang ettersmak med tydelige, men fine tanniner. Ikke den mest subtile barbarescoen, dette; her er det mye av alt. Men den er lett å like. Passer til lam og vilt. Drikk nå og ti år fremover.
