Founded by Cody and Marque Wright, yes that family of the great Ken Wright Pinot’s  very nice small production Pinot, 600 cases, from 115/777 clones. Medium+ Ruby, nose is a bit closed, with aromas of blue and red fruits with an array of spices, clove, tar and wet earth. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cranberry with notes of tobacco, citrus, floral and earthy tones. Fine tannins, lively acidity, long ending with fruit, spice, mineral and earthy notes. Will age a bit! Tasted twice!

Hefty Oregon Pinot from Dundee. Rich and tart. Absolutely needs 3-5 years to come together and begin resolving its tannins. This is my first Purple Hands...one to watch!

Outstanding Pinot Noir! Beautiful aromas of cassis, raspberry jam, Flowers and baking spices. Red and black fruit flavors with hints of earth and spice. Medium body, and enough tannin to five this wine some heft. There is a lushness to this wine. Love this producer. Revisited in December 2021. More floral aromas. Still fantastic!

Great acidity, warm vintage, ripe aroma, concentrated color. Paired excellent with beets and goat cheese, roast chicken and sweet pot. $50.

This one sat for another 7 months and totally blossomed from my Dec 2017 review. Loads of bright fruit and texture. Perfect balance of acidity, fruit, refined tannins and a uber long finish. Most enjoyable Pinot from Purple Hands.

A beautifully balanced Oregon Pinot with blackberry, sour cherry and forest floor notes. Paired perfectly with roasted salmon. Outstanding.
