Plum, leather, red cherry, raspberry on the nose. Huge tobacco, leather, spice, blackberry, cherry, cigar box, cedar on the palate. Super intense. Silky texture though, with med low tannins. Such a difference from yesterday's Barolo. Long finish, high alcohol. Very cool and interesting wine. 2000 vintage. Wow.

Drank alongside the 2000 Asili. Darker in fruit, flashier and plumper. Not quite the edge and focus of the Asili but still a nice Barbaresco with good bottle age on it. Less further upside than the Asili but eminently drinkable and will hold as well.
