Gorgeously pure, slightly sour cherry fruit, coffee, drying wood, sage. Wonderful fully mature fruit drives through with a finish with hints of sherry and gratified. Lovely.

This was holding together by a thread, not much fruit left. Lots of bricking and orange hues in the glass. Not representative of most ‘71s I’ve had—they have generally been in excellent form. Hopefully this is an outlier because I have a ‘71 from this maker gifted by @Joe Lucca that I’m looking forward to.
