2011 Polperro Mill Hill Pinot Noir, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. Light colour, reflective of its vintage. Savoury with aromas of dried meat, spice and also slightly vegetal. Juicy with Negroni like burnt orange character. Not the substance of a superior vintage, but enjoyable. Stylistically a real point of difference, not for your average punter who is looking for fruit and silk.
