Estate Grown Monticello Cabernet Franc

Lots of fruit and hardly any green. The more air the better on this. One of the better Virginia Cab Fancs I’ve tasted.

N: lots of Black fruit (black cherry, plum) with a bit of red, violets, a bit of sweet tobacco, and light vanilla.
P: nice texture on the palate without being overly heavy, cassis, Dried herbs, mixed ground pepper, dusting of chocolate.

Off the hook with a mushroom burger.

Excellent. Fruity, fragrant, and nice balance of light and bottom. Paired wonderfully with gnocchi and lamb.

Very lean style. Dark cherries and roses on the nose. Dark fruit, rose hips and orange peel in the mouth. Good acid, lower tannins. Medium-long finish. Needs a year or so, or a long decant. Well made, clean and bright.

Excellent example of the Cab Franc wines being produced in Virginia. Well-balanced, full bodied, and delicious. Beautiful winery.

Oaky, smooth, and all around a really nice cab franc
