This is a special bottle, and not just because it has evolved into something gorgeous. When I first met my wife in 2002, our first international trip while dating was to Tuscany. We schlepped back more than 2 cases of wine in our luggage. There are two bottles left, and this is one of them. Purchased at the winery and squirreled away until last night. It didn’t disappoint. Gorgeously silky red fruits, leather, dried herbs and flowers, shot through with great memories.
