Had this earlier this year, distributor I met said this was a new batch. A traditional blend of Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada from Penedès. Aromas of stone fruit with biscuit and yeasty notes. On the palate ripe fruit, mostly peaches and pears with citrus zest. Lingering finish ending with toasty yeast and mineral character. Really Nice value! Consistent. Tasting Sample.

Serviceable for lunch! Nothing to write home about (or a poem about), but I certainly wouldn't kick it out of bed. Light & crisp.

Sight: gold; more effervescent, bubbles deriving from middle; nose: earthy, barnyard, minerals, taste: honey, apples, buttery, yeast. Bleh.

Feb 6th, 2017Sourced from 152 hectares of vineyards located in the Penedes valley in the Catalan province of Barcelona. Straw yellow with aromas of stone fruits and yeasty notes. The palate shows fresh peach, Apple and pear with tiny bubbles and gentle mousse. The finish shows some minerality through a medium+ finish. Nice value.
