Medium garnet color with cherry red accents and a wide brim. Unexpectedly, the nose comes to life as soon as it’s opened revealing traditional Barolo aromas of dried cherries and dusty old leather. An overload of spice presents itself here initially but calms down with decanting. Violets and cinnamon combine with mint and eucalyptus. Really fun.

This is easily one of the most accessible young Barolos I can recall. Very giving giving and generous while not skimping on the innate quality. Supple and inviting with pleasant acidity and a backbone meant to last. Those slightly muted dried cherries envelop the tongue. Warm spice and crushed herbs with a drop of boysenberry. The longer than expected finish features plenty of leather. A well made Barolo that’s hard to beat especially for the price.
