Gratus Colline Novaresi Nebbiolo Uva Rara

This bottle shows quite a lot of anise for a red. Very drinkable though.

Nose has vanilla, ripe and tart cherry, ripe blueberry, ripe plum, wet granite and light baking spices.

Palate has ripe raspberry, high acid cherry, ripe cherry, medium tannins, crazy fresh fruits, an assault on the palate. 85% Nebbiolo / 15% Uva Rara. Decanted ~2hrs, need more time on future bottles, very young still.

Paired with a long cooked Bolognese sauce over some just amazing Pappardelle, fantastic pairing.

Lovely nose. Tweed jacket, licorice, earthy, ripe and juicy. Terrific acidity, deeper than sass russ, ripe and really wonderful tannins. Long. Very pure. Very long. Excellent. Really powerful and wonderful structure and super velvety tannins pump out the deep licorice/black/red cherry pure fruit.

No new notes today. Our last bottle...I knew we'd never be able to keep the corks in these bottles for more than a year after getting them, delicious!
