This is a big Pinot Gris and not as refined as others, but at this price it’s a Nice weekday wine. This is a second label for Elk Cove Vineyards, one of the best producers of Oregon Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris.

Pear forward. Excellent example of Oregon Pinot Gris. Smooth and caramel finish, good acidity. Kiss of sweetness, not very acidic, smooth, great finish, good for sitting on the deck.
Alternative wines: Mont Gravet Colombard (Cotes de Gascogne), Domaine Duffour Colombard/Gros-Manseng/Ugni-Blanc.
Delicate aromatics of ripe stone and orchard fruits. Crisp not heavy, good balance between lush and ripeness. Refreshing citrus on the finish. Indian chicken curry or Thai chicken satay were recommended.
