Base level Pinot Gris. Very big. Good for bbq or picnic. But better Pinot Gris out there from Oregon. This is second label by Elk Cove. Pay a few more dollars and get the Elk Cove Pinot Gris.

Fruit bomb. Vibrant with stone fruit. Tropical notes. Zippy minerality on the palette. Smooth finish. This is a big Pinot Gris and not as refined as others, but at this price it’s a Nice weekday wine. This is a second label for Elk Cove Vineyards, one of the best producers of Oregon Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris.

Pear forward. Excellent example of Oregon Pinot Gris. Smooth and caramel finish, good acidity. Kiss of sweetness, not very acidic, smooth, great finish, good for sitting on the deck.

Alternative wines: Mont Gravet Colombard (Cotes de Gascogne), Domaine Duffour Colombard/Gros-Manseng/Ugni-Blanc.

Delicate aromatics of ripe stone and orchard fruits. Crisp not heavy, good balance between lush and ripeness. Refreshing citrus on the finish. Indian chicken curry or Thai chicken satay were recommended.
