Pierre Sourdais
Tradition Chinon Cabernet Franc
Well...if you can’t be in Chinon then at least pour this terrific Cab Franc into the correct glass. Chill slightly and serve with some BBQd baby back pork ribs. A lovely way to see out the summer of 2019. (Taste profile?:
It’s Cab Franc without that awkward vegetative tobacco influence that American consumers rightly ran from. Drink up...or wait till winter for a white bean/roasted leg of lamb cassoulet. ☺️)

Fruit & acid out front here. Approachable tart cherry juice. Tannins are silky. A new producer for me, and one that I will absolutely be revisiting. Accompanied by the debut album from Jake Xerxes Fussell. A great collection of Southern American folk songs. Fussell has a new album coming out in June and is an immensely talented storyteller & songwriter.
