Disgorged July ‘16. Simple. Color implied not much age to base wine. Mediocre finish. Not really Grand Cru in character.

From Magnum...lemon zest, minerals, ocean water...sense of place.

Really digging this cuvée, the Cuvée de Reserve is really showing a strong chalky core laced with crisp pomme and vibrant citrus fruit. Really dialed in from last disgorgement tasted, or perhaps just younger and more coiled. There’s always a healthy dollop of Le Mesnil character evident in the Côte Blancs blend, and I find its cut and raciness absolutely perfect after a hot day in the vineyards. 12/2016 disgorgement.

This is a very nice Champagne.
Showing lots of yeast, bread, limes, lemons, green apples, citrus, nuts, minerals and sea salt.

Medium plus in body with racing acidity and medium plus sized bubbles.

Nice length on the finish.

This was very enjoyable before dinner, compliments of Wine Bar George.

Well balanced with nice complexity, and without a bitter finish, which I always appreciate.

100% Chardonnay grapes.

This Non-Vintage Champagne is going to be so much better in 5 to 10 years.

12% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$70.

So delicious. Vibrant acid, fine elegant bubbles. Mineral. persistent. Fresh with depth. Yum.
