Malvoisie, a synonym for a lot of different grape varieties, in this case a blend of Pinot Gris and Frühroter Veltliner grown by Philippe Grisard in the Savoie. As these grapes are not officially sanctioned for savoie AOC the white is sold as VdP de Allobrogie named after the ancient tribe of the Allobroges who used to roam the region in roman times.
Light nose: wax, pear, raspberry flavoured soda candy. Med body, soft acidity, light bitter finish. Muted coconut and pear palate.
