Clay and sand and no chalk - only grapes on parcels with sand for this wine. airy wine, superb, aggressive nose with huge bubbles, deep, feral and smokey perfume, so elegant and rich, food champagne, great purity, sap and concentration and so so balanced. Pure and so so elegant. Wonderful. So so sappy. Like a baby Pucelle. very very grippy and sapid. Wow. Amazing showing.

Jul 26th, 2023Stellar showing. Nose smells like heaven’s popcorn. Butterscotch toffee hard candy. Lime zest. Chalky mineral. Complex and inviting. Enormous concentration and tension with sappy yellow fruits and exceptional poise, focus and freshness. A real serious core here. This needs an hour or two but is so good out of the gates. Super elegant. Super pure.

Jan 23rd, 2022Lovely yeasty nose. Smells like Meursault with bubbles. Hint of cream and some elite salty butter. Palate is yeasty and so incredible juicy and salt reigns supreme on the mid and the finish. This is insanely clean and devastatingly pure. Lovely wet earth on the nose after air. Super sappy and fresh. Beguilingly fresh and deep. Awesome concentration and sap. This is the best bottle I’ve ever had of this. Lovey herbs and flowers on the nose after some air. Serious forest floor and lovely purity on the nose. Really round and viscous. Just tremendous wine. Not much fruit but that’s all good.

Love this bottle! I don't believe I can improve on previous notes, chalky, lemons, yum! If you don't wait 24h to drink after opening (which you really should), there's a nice, faint red fruit note to the trailing palate, but oh the salinity!

Sep 19th, 2020Love this bottle, based on notes from my past self, we opened this yesterday, had short glasses, then stoppered for a 24-hour rest. Fabulous move!
Nose has lemon custard, freshly washed lemon, slate and chilled bread dough.
Palate has red apple flesh, lemon muffin, faint limestone paste, cold peach with a long, mineral driven finish. Lovely bottle, as always!
50% Chardonnay, 39% Pinot Noir and 11% Pinot Meunier.
Love this bottle, based on notes from my past self, we opened this yesterday, had short glasses, then stoppered for a 24-hour rest. Fabulous move!

Delightful. Nose is yeasty and deep. Spiced apricot and apple. Lovely clarity. Gorgeous nose. Elegant yet substantial and deep with lovely palate cling. Balanced and so pure. What a great wine. Drinking so well now. Lovely cut and such good acidity. Also a hint of creaminess.

Oh man so much going on here, crazy fruits, crazy nose. Held about 1/2 the bottle for tomorrow, looking ahead to future development.
Next bottles 2023-25 for sampling.
24hr Update: Just ripping full of acidity, pineapple/pear and mineral! I swear next time I'm going to open this bottle, pour a glass, enjoy it, and then stopper it for 24hrs...It's a fully different and significantly improved bottle with more air.

So good. Super dry mineral and yeasty. No fruit but clean and mineral and juicy. Creamy and a nice intro.
