Probably would have been better a couple years ago. 2006 was a pretty hot vintage, and this is a fairly beefy 14.5% abv wine. Dried cherries and oak spice, but not too many autolytic notes.

Oak showing more than I like. Not getting any better.

Notes of tobacco, coffee, and saddle leather highlight dark red cherry on the nose. The fruit is confirmed in the juicy palate. This wine is still going strong!
