2018 -vintage the Brett here is so intense it hard to tell - seems like with out the Brett this wine would have been solid - so sad the mouth is worse than the aromatics

Carbonique deliciousness. Spritz. Mild funk in the finish.

Blackberry jolly rancher, stewed cranberry. fennel, pine. Sweet smoke. Good acidity. Very wet-dry. Drank and thoroughly enjoyed slightly chilled.

Bold crunchy vibrant gamay... ruby red grapefruit, rhubarb, candied watermelon with loads of acid and mineral. Blind, this could be confused with Moulin-à-Vent with pink granite notes... but this seems more flamboyant. My fave Pax wines are still the Grenache and Syrah offerings, but this is a blast for your nerdy wine geeks. 12.3% ABV May get better in future releases since this was grafted in 2015. Carbonic maceration in stainless, aged 7 months in neutral French Oak 500L Puncheons. Exactly what I’d like see, but the wine turned out even brighter and crunchy than I would have imagined.

Hard candy, watermelon Jolly Rancher flavors and a quirky pink grapefruit aroma (can’t believe I just wrote that but it’s undeniable). Whole clusters are bringing some intensity and spice to the table, amplifying the sense of volcanic minerality. A bit odd but seriously interesting. If this gets people to drink more Gamay it’s fine by me.

Cherry rock candy, tart, and acidic. Such a well made Gamay! Cool story about the grafting of these vines, too.

Very bright presentation. Tart cherries on the palate. Makes you pucker up. Finishes with pomegranate and searing acidity. Fun to quaff.
Half of the Wine Nerd Herd are here tonight - game on...
Big thanks to
