Is it any surprise that Pax is a champion of Chenin Blanc in California? Wonderful wine with classic aromas of wet wool, pear, lemon and herbal tea. Acidity is appropriately intense, excellent weight on the mid palate, rounding out slightly before transitioning to lean and taut finish. Real beauty!

Jun 15th, 2018Bone dry, chalk, good acid. Great with raw seafood. I would guess French all day.

May 4th, 2019Food wine! Lemon, very tart, honey, a hint of tropical fruit. Very tart otherwise I would have given it a higher score.

Apr 24th, 2019I don’t know Chenin, so here’s a novice’s reaction. This wine is nice with food but otherwise unpleasant. The acid doesn’t smack you so much as punch you in the face. Aromatics scream bone dry, and to my nose, flat and boring. I’ll give my remaining bottles lots of time.
