Oct 22nd, 2023lovely bottle of old riesling. rich golden raisin color in the glass. primary fruit and acid has completely receded in favor of dried fruits and peels. dried peach, gold raisins, orange peel, lemon peel, etc. the sugar stands out here because the acid is gone.

Concentrated apricot, honey, mushroom, and petrol. Sweet but cut by bracing acidity. Long and luscious.

Jan 30th, 2022very honeyed, apricot, a bit candied, dried pineapple, a mix of sweet and savory. prefer higher acid styles but a very nice bottle of wine.
post script: somebody else ID’d ginger / gingerbread and they’re absolutely right. very gingery. great call.

Nose is funky at first, but dissipates quickly. Taste of honey, peach, lychee; touch of lemon. Off dry; low acid; low alcohol. Medium body, some viscosity. Cozy and enjoyable. A steal for $12.
