At Floriana in Dupont. Medium-bodied, not too sweet, not too dry, perfect with risotto and with veal pasta. And they let me take the rest home!

A perpetual fave erryday kinda wine. Herbal, dusty, subtle red fruit. Unlike a more typical raspberry-scented Grenache, this is driven by earth notes. Have long loved this wine!

Middle of the road Cannonau, has some specificity and spice that I like from Sardinia, but also a ton of oak, which is fairly well integrated. Decent with meatloaf. The Virginia dearth of my preferred style of wine continues...
