Deep, rich, ripe red and black fruits, and sweet vanilla oak. Hedonistically delicious!

From the vineyard Joel Peterson made his Ravenswood Teldeschi. This section has some Alicante and carignane according to the tasting notes. The wine is almost black in color. I gave this over 2 hours in the decanter. Quite young. Blue and red fruit, earthy core and well structured. Good now & should get better.

Oh my what an incredible zin at PnP! And it just got better and better as it opened over 3 hours. If you’ve never tried any of Joel Petersons’s wines from Once & Future, you are missing out.

Okay Zinfandel, but too expensive and not worth buying. Too tannic and rough to start, but fruity finish.

Brambly fruit shot through with cherries, resin, spice and cream. All balanced with juicy acidity and chunky tannins.
