Popped and poured; served at cellar temp (55°F). Drank alongside the 2017 Oakley Road. Both were excellent and yet quite different from one another, really expressing their unique terroir. Very primary right now, the Teldeschi was darker fruited with brambles and black pepper. Somewhat brooding. A touch more weight on the palate than the Oakley Road. Long, delightful finish. This seemed to expand the longer that the bottle was open. This should age very well.

I love this wine! Joel Peterson makes good things. It’s all the baking spices and currants, dried and fresh, you could hope to have. Silky and beautiful.

Deep, rich, ripe red and black fruits, and sweet vanilla oak. Hedonistically delicious!

Dark, bramble fruits. Rich, but well balanced

From the vineyard Joel Peterson made his Ravenswood Teldeschi. This section has some Alicante and carignane according to the tasting notes. The wine is almost black in color. I gave this over 2 hours in the decanter. Quite young. Blue and red fruit, earthy core and well structured. Good now & should get better.

Brambly fruit shot through with cherries, resin, spice and cream. All balanced with juicy acidity and chunky tannins.

Accidentally grabbed this instead of the mataro 😬 Needs some time

Pretty darn good. Blackberry, boysenberry, black cherries, vanilla. Good balance. I'll let the other one rest a bit
