Very tasty red blend of five Italian grapes, mostly Gaglioppo with significant Aglianico and Magliocco support. A great bargain at the $12 I paid.

Interesting varieties that I don't think we've had before mixed with Aglianico. Red and a little darker fruit, lush mouthfeel, old world funk, generous on fruit but in no way sweet. Reminiscent of a much more expensive Super Tuscan or a really good Nero D'avola. Will buy again.

This was quite a surprise. Very complex, food friendly wine. Good minerality, and has a creamy smooth finish - in fact my girlfriend said it tasted like a fruity cream cheese, and I agree. Excellent value.

Had with Italian in New York. Cherry or raspberry, licorice and pepper.

45% Gaglioppo, 25% Aglianico, 20% Maglioco Canino, 5% Greco Nero , 5% Nerello Cappuccio. Fresh acidity and tannin balanced with black currants.
