Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Very young. Tannins owned the day for this tasting. Could imagine a bold Cab in a few more years. Opened up a bit over few minutes to provide peek at dark fruit in hiding.

Finally getting around to posting Day 5 in Napa, our final day. 5 years in a row visiting...hope to make it 6 next year!

Dominant cab with around 15% merlot to soften it out. It’s very plush in style with fairly soft tannins but definitely worthy of a short decant. Blackberry, cassis, plum, black cherry and dark cocoa.

Tasted and bought during a visit to Odette. I think they consider this a second label. Not as good as the Odette lineup but still an impressive wine. Still have a magnum for the future.
