Had been wanting to try this Cuvée which largely helped put English Sparkling on the map. Good bead with aromas of Apple and light biscuity aromas with good persistence on the palate. Would easily hold its own in French company. One of the 1001 wines. Have not seen it available in Australia as yet but I might have missed it.

Light lemon green in appearance. Crisp and clean nose with some minerality, lemon and green apples. Medium acidity (7/10) and medium bodied. Layered palate with citrus, stone fruits and wet gravel. Long and lingering finish. Excellent bubbly. Drink till 2025.

Weston hosted Friday group today and was it definitely a can’t miss tasting. Wow! Absolutely knocked it out of the park with heavy hitter after heavy hitter. Similar to Wednesday group, all wines are tasted blind.

English sparkler ladies and gentlemen! Coming on the scene hot. Most guessed French NV. I wondered if it was possibly high end west coast like an Ultramarine. Loads of apple here. Little yeast and chalk. Great texture and bubbles.

Still the quality benchmark for English fizz. Superb fruit expression and balance with the depth which would normally only be possible with the inclusion of reserve wine. Fab.

2007: still remarkably fresh. Brie and green grape note, with light cheesecake base and mineral. Vibrant, juicy, very pure green fruit, greengage, light floral, very very elegant. Very direct, very Cote de Blanc like

A very developed leesy style. Bready, Apple, buttered toast. Good texture, but quite fresh, more fruit on the palate, and creamy on the finish. Good

2007 Nyetimber Classic Cuvée #Sparkling from #Sussex, #England. Blend of Chard, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier. Heady aromas of almond, toast & yeast. On the palate: pear, star fruit, dried citrus peel & slight earth notes. Dry as a bone. Zesty finish. #wine #sommelier
