Okay, just black. Blonde wood/ baked apple hurrah, and then the dark quiet of space, or the grainy expanses of closed lids. The lacing of lazy, wood-boring insects. Such sights have set me to worrying of late. Mornings being a struggle at times, especially after these nighttime wooden cudgels and dark devices. The rack anyone? Coconut on coals. Tar socks. Dried violets. Black strap cola. Scraped vanilla beans, and dark chocolate cookie covered coal. Anise cinnamon and thin mint. Well, that’s the smell of the thing. The mouth below is unsweetened baker’s dark chocolate, blackened iron, vine charcoal, charred bone, hot springs through rubber piping, black sugar, Spanish “chocolate” brandy/black strap rum and graphite/smoke with evergreen suggestions. Not the Dragon of fire and smoke I expected, but certainly a formidable cave monster, living inside a volcano. I particularly appreciated the mineral/ethereal aspect.

I chose the perfect beer to celebrate #NationalBeerDay I was gifted this for my birthday last week and heard nothing but good things and BAY-BEEEE it did not disappoint. 🎶these are a few of my favorite things🎶 I don’t do ice coffee often but if I did, it would this beer. No point in drinking cold coffee if it is not 11% ABV. Dragon’s Milk is dark, toasty (and roasty), rich and heavy! Everything I want in a man, but A👏🏾DAMN👏🏾 BEER👏🏾! Men disappoint, so give me the warmth and familiarity bourbon barrel-aged stout anytime. The smell is perfect and the notes of vanilla and caramel sweeten it ever so subtly. Issa win! #badandboozypod #craftbeerlife #stouts #dragonsmilk #gimmemore #beerreviews

Rich and creamy, toffee notes, fresh roasted coffee beans.

Pretty good! No single part overwhelms. Coffee gets along with stout; stout gets along with chocolate; chocolate gets along with coffee. All are good friends. Alcohol comes in high, but not hot. More of a warming effect that is quite pleasant.

All in all, a good beer as expected.

Love this stuff, but turn on the snooze factor, because this one will put ya to sleep! I think I'm taking a liking to bourbon barrel aged milk stouts, aside from their alcohol contents, their bountiful complex flavors, and who doesn't love mocha/coffee aromas? I'll tell you who, no one, and if they don't, politely dispose of them because you don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
Not as much chocolate to the mid section and finish of this one but none the less, a barrel essence that I thoroughly enjoy.

Just a bit overdone with the bourbon taste. I enjoy a balanced bourbon stout, but I prefer the stout still taste like a stout
